I grew up in this area and remember well when this place was built, so I though you might enjoy hearing what we learned about it at the time, back in the 1980s.
For example, we had selected glass front cabinets, but when the cabinetry arrived most of the doors that were supposed to be glass were solid wood. Babak got the correct doors shipped on an expedited basis. If you are debating whether or not to get glass front cabinets, perhaps worrying about them looking messy, I strongly recommend the glass. We absolutely love the way our kitchen looks with just the cabinet and accent lighting on.
Frequently Asked Questions about Imagine Castle
It appears the moat widens at the rear of the house and becomes more conventionally pool-like. As you can see from the photo below, there is a small adjacent pool castle building, complete w. You cannot actually see said diving board in the photo, but it is there in reality, sticking out. Castle View Homes is dedicated to building homes that are a superior blend of architectural design, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. We were pleased with the design and the finished product. We even added a job of re-tiling our foyer floor which they did a beautiful job on.
There us a huge garage and the garage door let’s up and down like a drawbridge. Visited there saw a castle and decided he wanted a small one. I thought you might be interested to know more about the castle. My friends grandparents are the owners and we would go over there as often as we could. The drawbridges do in fact lead to garages, It is not subterranean, and the mote is about 3 feet deep.
Strangely Made Houses In The United States
Perhaps we have done hundreds of successful project and have several references. We try to do not give our references phone # to potential client if He/She is not serious. As Member mentioned in their review they have had several quotes from several companies. We were absolutely happy to give them our quotation but were not able to give them our references # till we understand they want to select us for their project.
The Castle sat half finished for years. The wrought iron fence used to be 8′-10′ high as were the stone pillars for the fence (they still had the gnomes sitting on top 🙂 ). The fence has been lowered several times, I’m assuming due to city building codes or something. They used to have a big floating pool toy (maybe a penquin?) that would circle the moat. Yes they actually do open like drawbridges its pretty sweet!

That fancy bathtub just was not deep enough to soak and relax in. Due to a confluence of snafus, replacing the tub turned out to be hardest part of the entire project. But Babak got it done and my wife could not be happier. Babak stays engaged and has close relationships with the tradesmen that he employs. It makes for a fairly smooth process.
Castle, Alpharetta, GA is a 7 bedroom, 11 bathroom, 12,000 sqft property built in 1996. This property is not currently available for sale. Princesses, get to live in a castle and you certainly don’t find many castles in this affluent exurb of northern Georgia. But one truck driver decided to change that.
Our prior remodeling experience had consisted of hiring painters on a couple of occasions. We were complete neophytes who were dependent on getting advice from experts. We did get good advice and we are delighted with the final product. In our family the breakdown of the ? Was that the kitchen was the husband? But recently I, the husband, came to really appreciate the bathroom.
We did absolutley no harm to anything and left with a great memory…By the way, I can attest no basement and round rooms. My friend’s grandparents were the ones who lived in this castle. MeeMaw and Pawpaw are very nice and loving. It is not subterranean and to add any interest you may have, in this home, the rooms are all circular.
We travel a bit and that is where we got some ideas that eventually were incorporated into the final design. Style shower head and travertine walls and flooring. We recently returned from a couple of trips that we took, post-construction, and I was really looking forward to getting back to our bathroom.
Rudy was a long-haul truck driver who told his wife he would build her a castle - and did! It was heavy work – mortar and concrete for the roof was lifted in five-gallon buckets. Old Castle Design Center was started with the aspiration of becoming the best design and renovation company in the city of Atlanta and northern part of Atlanta. Old Castle Design Center pushes the limits of design and creativity with a vision towards the future. We enjoyed working with designer, Luis Ferandez, and we are thrilled with the design.
We did a complete remodel of our kitchen which included removing a structural wall and reinforcing the ceiling. I am now 36 years old and can remember this castle from my earliest childhood memories. We lived in Norcross and regularly drove to my grandparents in Canton.
We also extended the hardwood flooring in the center of the house to the bedroom and family room “wings” and refinished the existing flooring. Finally we painted the entire first floor. Completely redesigned and created a new master bathroom. Also installed new hardwood flooring in the master bedroom. We have developed an experienced and educated team to provide our clients with the best possible design for the individual needs of their project. This means so much more than floors, walls, and a roof.
Its a sweet story for such a……unique place. My daughter had her fairytale wedding at “The Castle” May 9, 2009. The reception was immediately afterward where everyone danced around the moat on the marble driveway. Having done some research, I have read conflicting reports of the actual square footage of The Castle. QUITE A BIT OF DIFFERENCE, wouldn’t you say?? And as the above ground portion of building is truly tiny, I can only hold w/ the man cave theory.
